Spent (only) 10 minutes talking and explaining to a patient about anaesthesia. When asked if she had any questions, she told me she had never met an anaesthetist who gave her so much info.

@COVID_questions @DrEricLevi The round bit at the front is an unfiltered expiratory valve, so it is correct that wearing the Halo only doesn't prevent the clinician's source of infection. This can be quite easily addressed by wearing a tier 3 surgical mask over it, which makes the device more discrete too
