Ok, here we go: Much of my work concerns the history and return of scientific racism. I’ve written extensively about attempts to resurrect the shuffling corpse of
race science and eugenics for many years. Bigotry dressed up as biology. 1/n
Something so satisfying about this man’s refusal to take the bait with the usual leading questions on migration. Just calmly & stubbornly fair-minded, straightforward, no nonsense answers in a perfect Wexford accent right in the middle of the town. 10/10
Perhaps we should start judging #Tory corruption & incompetence on a #RaynerScale ?
If “1 Rayner” = £1,500 …
…then 2 Rayners = 2 x the required effort by the police to investigate 🤷🏻♂️ Simples!
The #Donellan libel comes in at “20 Rayners”
Whilst #Boris ‘s flat refurb comes in at a cool 95 Rayners
…and Michelle #Mone is a jaw dropping 150,000 Rayners!😮
I’m sure others can come out with bigger #ToryCorruption scandals than that?
🚨🚨🚨Kremlin trolls’ activity: unprecedented high after a short break.
They masquerade as authentic X users; gaslight; amplify disnfo; confuse; etc
Time for a refresher on their tactics: #Kremlin propaganda playbook. 🧵w @BylineTimes
1. Pushing Kremlin Narratives->…
Insurance prices, are soaring in the UK whether it's for your Car or your House, and you maybe be wondering why?
Well you see in the EU they have regulators who stop profiteering, and in the UK we have Politicians who profit from the profiteering.
And that is why.
Pensions are 'unsustainable', the NHS is 'unsustainable' and now the Post Office is 'unsustainable', or so we are told. They were all entirely sustainable before the private sector starting looting the public sector.
The day before the 2016 referendum, the Telegraph published a long editorial citing 20 reasons to vote for Brexit.
It's a potent mix of the usual delusions, screaming lies (Turkey!) and the kind of forehead-slapping stuff that will leave you with a headache all day.
Here's their list of subject headers:
1) We’d get our money back
2) We could decide who comes into our country
3) We could make our own laws again
4) Our courts would have the final say over those laws
5) We wouldn’t have to accept decisions forced on us by other countries
6 )We wouldn’t have to listen to lots of European presidents
7) We wouldn’t have to listen to, or fund, the European Commission
8) We could have proper vacuum cleaners
9) We wouldn’t have to worry about Turkey
10) We could set our own tax rates
11) We could support British companies in trouble
12) Fish!
13) We could get rid of windfarms
14) We could have blue passports again
15) And our own entry lanes at airports
16) We wouldn't have to fund EU foreign aid
17) It would be easier to get rid of fridges
18) No more stupid recycling bins
19) British MEPs would be sacked
20) Finally, we could have proper lightbulbs again

THIS!!!
When you see a doctor privately, it’s because they’re not currently on an NHS shift - mostly, I know there are exceptions - but the point is it is the same workforce !!!!
Omg I’m TIRED of MPs saying NHS needs reform. Private hospitals don’t have A&E departments, they use NHS Drs in emergencies, they use NHS ambulances, they’re not equipped to look after the UK. Said before & I’ll say again… even if you’re private who’d you call in emergencies? Answer the NHS.
Despite the positive rhetoric, inflation at 3.9% is not good news. Prices are still increasing
And food price inflation is still huge, having risen to 9.2% in Nov. That's on top of 16.5% last Nov
Those on low incomes, the majority of whom are women, continue to be hardest hit
I need you to report on the rise of vascular disease & death that happens in younger people months post acute.
I need you to report on kids disabled by COVID.
And FFS, we need real investigation into attributable elevated excess mortality and declining life expectancy.

This is such an important point. On both sides of the Atlantic. Disgraced liars who abused the highest office in the land should simply not be treated as if they are not disgraced liars who abused the highest office in the land. It’s profoundly dangerous.
I'm not picking on Alan here, he's a good bloke asking an honest question, but let's just examine this for a moment...
(and when I say 'for a moment', I mean 'exhaustively'.)
"Didn't they have air cleaning devices in the room(s)?"
So in Sunak's new Cabinet we have:
- Environment Sec married to the exec of sewage-pumping water firm
- Health Sec in charge of obesity married to CEO of major sugar firm
- Foreign Sec tainted by Greensill lobbying scandal & isn't even an MP
Sounds like "common sense" to me...
5 years ago Milton Keynes was dubbed ‘tent city’ by the media. Today, no one needs to sleep rough on our streets. How did we do it? A thread by the Cabinet Member responsible 👇
NEW: I’m not sure people fully appreciate how dire the US life expectancy / mortality situation has got.
My column: https://t.co/dBIhT9eZLv
And some utterly damning charts.
1) at *every* point on the income distribution, Americans live shorter lives than the English.
