When you quote statistics, quote the source, quote the demographics, sample size and what the limitations of the study are. If your source doesn't have this, then perhaps you need a different source. #fakenews #data

I just saw a video by Ben Shapiro where he said "statistics are statistics." And many of his followers saying numbers dont lie and can't be #racist. Statistics can lie and they can be racist. That's why researchers never just present the statistics and say "welp, there you go!"

They are required to check for bias and list the limitations of their study and other researchers can add to the limitations based on their critical analysis of the sample.
