This week, at 60, I achieved a personal milestone I’m excited to share. I’ve successfully completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Statistics, specializing in Data Analytics, from Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Kolkata. @ISIKolkata

It wasn’t an easy journey, but it was fulfilling.

My political journey began at 19, in 1982, as a BSc (Chemistry Hons.) student at Hans Raj College. I joined the Indian National Congress as NSUI’s Campus Unit President in 1983, and after Lalit Maken Ji’s tragic assassination in 1985, I committed to full-time politics.

In 2020, while COVID disrupted lives, it gave me time to reflect and pursue my academic interests.

I returned to learning through platforms like Khan Academy, 3Blue1Brown, Coursera, https://t.co/C0bqJxek7X, EdX, and DataCamp. I revisited Algebra, Probability, Calculus, Statistics, and picked up Python and R, earning over a dozen certificates in subjects like Statistics, Machine Learning, and Programming.

Now, with this Post Graduate Diploma, from such a prestigious institution, my journey continues. Statistics, Sampling, Data Analytics, and Machine Learning are modern political tools, and I hope to make a more meaningful contribution in the realm of politics. 🙏

'जान से मारना है तो हमें मारो':
राहुल गांधी को मिलीं धमकियों पर गुस्साए अजय माकन

अजय माकन ने कहा कि भारतीय राजनीति इस स्तर तक गिर सकती है, यह अकल्पनीय है. भाजपा के वरिष्ठ नेताओं ने इस तरह के बयानों की न तो निंदा की और न ही कोई कार्रवाई की.

कांग्रेस सांसद राहुल गांधी पर बीजेपी नेताओं की ओर से की गई आपत्तिजनक टिप्पणी को लेकर कांग्रेस नेता अजय माकन की ओर से प्रतिक्रिया आई है.

अजय माकन ने कहा कि पूरा देश जानता है, इंदिरा गांधी ने अपनी छाती पर 34 गोलियां खाईं और शहीद हुईं. राजीव गांधी ने शांति वार्ता शुरू की थी, जिसके कारण उनका शरीर बम विस्फोट में चिथड़े-चिथड़े हो गया.अजय माकन बोले, "राहुल गांधी का परिवार देश के लिए कुर्बान हुआ है, लेकिन आज उन्हें धमकियां दी जा रही हैं कि वे सावधान रहें, नहीं तो उनका भी वही हश्र होगा."

कांग्रेस ने चार लोगों के खिलाफ यह शिकायत दर्ज की है, जिनमें एक केंद्रीय मंत्री, दिल्ली के पूर्व भाजपा विधायक, महाराष्ट्र के शिवसेना विधायक और उत्तर प्रदेश के एक मंत्री शामिल हैं.'गरीब और मजदूरों के हक की आवाज हैं राहुल, इसलिए...'माकन ने कहा कि भारतीय राजनीति इस स्तर तक गिर सकती है, यह अकल्पनीय है. उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि भाजपा के वरिष्ठ नेताओं ने इस तरह के बयानों की न तो निंदा की और न ही कोई कार्रवाई की. इसके उलट, भाजपा के सहयोगी दल के एक नेता ने कहा कि राहुल गांधी की जुबान काटने वाले को 11 लाख रुपये का इनाम मिलेगा. माकन ने सवाल उठाया कि क्या राहुल गांधी की आवाज को इसलिए दबाया जा रहा है क्योंकि वे देश हित, गरीबों और मजदूरों की बात करते हैं?

'भाजपा की धमकियों से नहीं डरेंगे राहुल' कांग्रेस नेता ने कहा,  "कांग्रेस और राहुल गांधी भाजपा की धमकियों से डरने वाले नहीं हैं. राहुल गांधी पिछड़ों, दलितों और गरीबों के हक के लिए हमेशा खड़े रहेंगे और उनकी आवाज बुलंद करते रहेंगे.

भारत सरकार के एक मंत्री (रवनीत सिंह बिट्टू) ने राहुल गांधी को आतंकवादी कहा, सिर्फ इसलिए कि उनके विचार उन्हें पसंद नहीं आए."उन्होंने कहा कि कांग्रेस ने पुलिस में शिकायत दर्ज कराई है ताकि इन नेताओं के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की जा सके, क्योंकि यह सीधे-सीधे जान से मारने की धमकी है.

आज से 60 वर्ष पूर्व, मेरी माता जी, तमाम कष्ट सह कर, मुझे इस स्वरूप में लाई थी।

आज हम उनके नश्वर अवशेष, अपने गोद में, उसी सावधानी से लेकर, गंगा जी में प्रवाहित करने, निकल पड़े हैं।

यही तो जीवन चक्र है!

In politics, things don't always go our way. Sometimes, our desires remain unfulfilled, our voices unheard—yet, does this justify undermining the very organisation that defines our political identity? Should we repeatedly inflict harm on our organisation for personal gains?

Never having followed the above path, a dedicated soldier to the ideals of @INCIndia;

@devendrayadvinc, with his background as an elected MLA, councillor, grassroots worker, and outstanding organiser, is now the Interim President of Delhi Congress.

He's the right choice, and I wish him success in his new role.
