@ANI He tried to say something indirectly, but then quickly corrected himself. He knew it could backfire. India has moved far beyond one-family dynasty politics. Let us see what happens.
@india_plus_ Legacy to AI migration is not easy. Much may need to be rebuilt fresh for sovereign AI. while depending on external AI vendors can become very expensive at scale for them to offer services.
The nation should celebrate that a France-like situation was avoided. Similar protests were seen in a few countries around the same time-whether coincidence or something behind it, God only knows. There were also reports of some people travelling to India to participate. In Delhi, the Police and Government prevented the situation from getting out of control. Just imagine what could have happened to businesses and citizens in Connaught Place and nearby areas and what could have followed. Whatever our differences, the nation and generations to come must come first; everything else comes after that. A safe nation is something everyone should celebrate. Happy Dussehra!
@sardesairajdeep Delhi Police has secured businesses in Connaught Place and helped prevent a France-like situation in Delhi, even at a huge cost to public money. Had this happened in UP, by now the cost might have been recovered from these people. 😀
Prevention through simulation.
A number can look statistically reasonable, but it cannot prove data integrity. Without record-level identifiers, data-quality checks and verifiable evidence linking each deletion to its reason, overall numbers cannot tell whether the right voters were removed or wrong records remained. For such sensitive data, this should be the starting point before applying statistics. Even a common person can ask for basic evidence: if someone is marked as migrated, migrated where, is there a new voter registration there, and was the move permanent or only temporary for work or study? This matters especially in Bihar, where many workers and students live outside temporarily but may return home to vote. Booth-level reasons can be published in a simple, privacy-safe way so citizens can verify mistakes. Distribution matters too-even if the total number looks reasonable, errors could be concentrated in certain booths or constituencies, or even within families where some moved within the city, some outside the city or state, and others stayed at the same address. Then comes basic data quality: if the system itself creates clerical errors-an impossible age, name or relationship mismatch, duplicate record, wrong address or similar error-who should correct them? Should millions of citizens be expected to find and chase these errors, including people who may have little access, understanding or time, or should the system itself detect, reconcile and help correct them? And is all this really so difficult for an institution that has handled very large datasets for decades and has access to modern technology, in-house expertise, vendors and consultants? That itself is worth debating. Both sides should support their claims with facts and reconcile the data until these questions are settled. Whether any proven errors were large or distributed enough to actually affect an election is a separate debate and needs separate evidence.
A positive sign is that ECI is reportedly moving towards more transparency and cleaner voter rolls. This should be encouraged so future elections have accurate, transparent and trusted voter rolls.
Person was reportedly a salaried “hit content” creator and Photoshop/graphic designer in Kejriwal’s social media team. I remember many years ago a viral post where someone from that team left and strongly attacked Kejriwal and his party saying he would destroy them. I’m not sure if this was the same person. But the pattern looks similar-attack someone in the top chair get attention and become popular. Politics through shortcuts.
How many votes would you get if you fought an election? May be test that first before using heavy words like “regime change.” 😀 At this age more calm and restraint is expected. This is India-political battleground is elections and weapon is EVM. If you believe public is with you defeat them there. And please don’t disturb businesses and public during festive seasons even if you don't celebrate. One good thing you did today was appearing together at one desk-it gives public better visibility of everyone 😀
@whattalawyer
You all should have kept that first impression and used it to build your careers. The government itself gave you that opportunity by coming to your door. That’s what Kejriwal did after his first big impression-he used that moment to launch a political party and build his career, but even he could not recreate the same moment again and again and over time his politics took a different direction. A few students may see you as student leaders but Indian students are hardworking, sensitive and cultured. Abusing elders 24 hours is not student politics. When young people see aggressive politics and abuse leading to political success they may start thinking this is also a shortcut to success. That’s what I call a theatrical mindset. Sorry to see that none of your well-wishers could show you a better path. Maybe that is also part of life.
I think this goes beyond developer productivity. AI is just beginning. Earlier software made humans do most of the work and enter data; now AI can perform work at scale towards human goals while humans move up to decisions, judgement and innovation. Even if compute cost goes up engineering will evolve towards minimum intelligence for maximum verified outcome. What matters is the cost and value of the final business outcome. With security, ethics, evidence and verification built in this could transform software engineering and how businesses operate.
On your developer productivity point bring one iron Vembu gate and measure the verified outcome. 😀
Vembu - we understand the challenge. Many enterprises are now building their own AI and knowledge capabilities. Moving traditional software to truly AI-native systems may need major re-engineering and investment, while compute costs are also going up. Maybe the next few years will be about finding the right balance between AI innovation, cost and engineering efficiency. You are a master of engineering so hoping you will bring something special for industry through reinvention. Wishing you and your team all the best.
@aajtak@ShamsTahirKhan See the headline 😀 He should have written: “Freedom & Congratulations, Jantar Mantar!” - Time to regain its place as one of Delhi’s most promising heritage tourist attractions. 😀
Good progress. 👍 There were concerns that some of these discrepancies could also be due to software or system glitches. If around 20 lakh of 33 lakh cases are now resolved, please also publish simple booth-wise numbers-how many resolved, how many still pending and the reasons with supporting evidence, such as deceased, shifted, duplicate, clerical/system error or others. Let citizens easily check their own records. This transparency can clear most doubts and unnecessary debate. The same learnings and process can also be shared nationwide so other states can benefit.
