On 30.08.2026 at about 10:23 AM, a PCR call vide GD No. 36A regarding theft was received at PS Rajouri Garden. Upon receiving the PCR call, EO SI Prakash Kashyap reached the spot at H. No. C-39, Tagore Garden. It was found that an unknown person had stolen jewellery and cash from the house. Cash amounting to Rs. 1.75 lakh, one gold earring, one gold chain and one diamond ring were found stolen. The Crime Team inspected the spot. Subsequently, e-FIR No. 473/2026 dated 30.08.2026 under Sections 305/331(4) BNS, PS Rajouri Garden, was registered on the complaint of Ms. Kanchan Chadha, daughter of Amar Nath Lamba. Delhi Traffic Police has planned comprehensive traffic arrangements for the BRICS Summit from 11th to 13th September to ensure smooth and seamless movement.

Detailed advisories on diversions, affected routes & timings will be issued in advance, with diversion boards, rehearsals & real-time public guidance.

Commuters travelling to airports and railway stations are requested to plan their journeys accordingly and leave well in advance, keeping in mind the traffic diversions and restrictions.

A 28-year-old nursing caregiver, Sandeep, died after being electrocuted by an electric streetlight pole on Somnath Marg in Anand Vihar while returning home on August 26/27. An autopsy confirmed electrocution as the cause of death. Police registered a case under relevant sections, and an investigation is underway
