They bypassed FCRA by bringing foreign debit cards linked to Truist Bank, US, into India and using them for repeated ATM cash withdrawals across multiple states. Most withdrawals done in Dhamtari and Bastar in Chhattisgarh

The recent order of the Delhi High Court allowing Pernia Qureshi, daughter of Moin Qureshi (meat exporter), to apply for a visa raises serious questions that the Ministry of Home Affairs, cannot ignore. When national security, citizenship norms, and sovereign discretion intersect, ambiguity is dangerous. The government’s own contention suggests her PIO status is under doubt. Disturbingly, this also raises the question of how she has been roaming freely in India despite concerns of being an illegal immigrant.
