@Ishansharma7390 If a foreigner visited a temple in India and refused to take off their shoes because there was no sign requesting it, even though locals were removing their shoes- would that be acceptable to you? That is the difference between a rule and a custom. It’s up to you to respect it
Congratulations to Argentina’s Lionel Richie on winning his first World Cup. While NFL and college football players remain much more popular intentionally than he does, we should let him have his moment in the sun.

@FedExHelpEU Another day and nothing from @FedExHelpEU what kind of package delivery company says it’s not their problem when packages aren’t delivered
@FedExHelpEU tracking says package was delivered (to a receptionist) but it wasn’t delivered. We have CCTV outside the house and no Fedex van ever came by during the delivery time. Also it’s a house- we don’t have a receptionist! Need help urgently tracking this down!! Not happy
@FedExHelpEU@FedExHelpEU I keep getting told the driver says delivery made. Rubbish. The proof of delivery says left with receptionist/front desk. I live in a house. What house has a receptionist?! My own CCTV shows no Fedex van came. The lies aren’t adding up - time to actually do something

@InnocenceCapit1 Unsure but besides lending they look to have banking services incl. various accounts so possibly have access to a base of deposits. No sense on size of that vs lending demands
@InnocenceCapit1 Cross River originates but most of the loans are sold back to the lending partner within days so the capital turns over. $AFRM obliged to buy. Risk prob the true lender model- could argue Affirm is economically the lender, Cross River the vehicle used to comply with bank laws
@mikulaja@tanayj@chrismccann@jamesjho_ 39bps is net interchange to MQ after paying revenue share=$234m in net interchange in 2020, from $60bn TPV. MQ pays $146m to card network = 24bps. $20m paid to issuing bank = 3bps. So gross profit from interchange is 12bps. Plus 8bps from processing fees ($48m rev)=20bps total
@jakesing_ Even if top of the funnel traffic is low, isn’t there still a value prop to merchants in the form of higher checkout conversion? Particularly if underwriting is superior (more approvals), Affirm could then underprice competitors to be the BNPL option on a checkout page?
@jalenMcNugget @chamath@Metromile Yes but why let themselves becoming sitting ducks? Better to cannibalize your own business than let someone else do it. Hard to imagine multi-billion dollar companies are going to sit there and let it happen to them. If that’s where insurance is going- why wouldn’t they follow?
@rationalwalk The US (and hence its leader) is far more consequential in foreign countries than foreign countries are in the US. So everyone has a stake, if indirect, in who the next President is. But not the same the other way around.
@cperruna Of all the athletes u could have chosen, it just happens to be the most prominent BLM-supporting athlete in America? Put next to a photo of cops being shot. Has LeBron ever compared playing basketball to being shot? Whether you meant it or not the subtext is impossible to ignore
@rationalwalk Speaking as a liberal, many on the left are simply incapable of thinking about any issue in anything other than emotional terms. Winning power/ elections is an inconvenient afterthought that crops up every couple of years.
