It's Endometriosis Awareness Month and my constituent Sanju Pal is campaigning for greater awareness of the disease after she was unfairly dismissed from her job of 10 years.
I am so proud to be supporting her in this campaign to protect women with endometriosis from discrimination 💪🏾
Sanju Pal was a 'high-flying' professional, with her work taking her from Buckingham Palace to Downing Street and earning her the UK Asian Women of Achievement Award.
But she was sacked from her job after taking time off to treat her crippling endometriosis.
Sanju is now campaigning for better recognition of the condition as a disability, saying women shouldn't have to choose between their jobs or health.
Pleased to be on ITV with my brave constituent @sanjuthinks who is raising awareness about endometriosis. 10% of women world wide have endometriosis - that’s 176 million worldwide. Reasonable workplace adjustments must be made to accommodate women who are suffering from this condition. @itvnews@EndometriosisUK
The 1st public video about my Category A case against Accenture UK Ltd to be heard at Employment Appeal Tribunal in London on 9 & 10 December 2025.

On a recent work trip to the UK 🇬🇧, met with my aunt, @drkalyanipal (my dad’s little sis). She worked at @GSTTnhs & @ICR_London. I knew she spent a considerable amount of time in the lab, but had no idea she did early foundational work linking polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (#PAHs) & metabolites to chromosomal aberrations & downstream carcinogenesis. Have always been inspired by amazing #female figures in #cancerresearch but did not realize I was related to one! @ASCO@AACR@myESMO@cityofhope
