Our final task of the night was helping a young woman get a taxi home as she'd lost her phone & couldn't contact her friend to pick her up

A small minority of people can change the atmosphere very quickly. One woman proved that tonight by starting fights with anyone & everyone

4.30am & eventually New Years Eve is coming to an end. There are still a lot of people here waiting for taxis in the cold

2 women were having a loud row outside & then their boyfriends started fighting and were joined by other friends on both sides :o( #chaos

Lots of sensible people have been leaving Pussycats with their friends after a good night but sadly some others are not doing so well

Very sad to read tweet from @OFFICIALWMAS that in the first 2.5 hours of 2014 they've had nearly 800 #999 calls in West Midlands alone

2 hours into 2014 and the nightclub here in Wellington is still packed and we've had a visit from the New Years first ambulance
