Back in the USA for the first time in nearly three years! 🇺🇸 On my way to Washington DC to meet up with @shenANTigans @AlysiaDurham4 and @Educationoflife to celebrate our selection as #PAEMST awardees. I can’t wait to meet other STEM educators and leaders.
The latest #GoogleClassroom feature—which gives you the ability to schedule posts across multiple classes—is rolling out now! Learn more: https://t.co/v5ThzShv1F
My brain must be preparing for #2022MMM because last night I dreamt that my classroom was a zoo and an alligator was trying to eat our class turtle. I had to rescue it and throw it in the goldfish tank… all while holding a clingy chimpanzee. #biologyteacherlife @2022MMMletsgo
@favor_mrs Ha, I was actually smart and didn’t go through DoDEA this time. My practicum was enough of that… and I think they’re not even accepting applications at the moment. I’m using classroom data and videos from a project I helped out with on cultural responsiveness in science ❤️.
I blazed through the first couple of years of my PhD with #MSUEPET. Covid hit right as I was supposed to be getting properly into my dissertation and honestly, progress slammed to a stop bc at the end of the day I just couldn’t do any more. I finally have some bandwidth… (1/2)
@lirakrys Yay, thank you! I know Lisa had mentioned your dissertation when I met with her recently. Glad to know you’re making good progress! ❤️ We’ve got this!
I understand the general value of resilience. What I don't understand is white educators looking at children facing racist discipline policies, curricular erasure, mountains of racism, and, while ignoring the racism, thinking, "What YOU need is resilience."
