Then as I walk home, begin to reflect on how disrespect begets antisocial behavior, which begets disrespect, then decide society is hopelessly broken, get home, fill out my #ballot for #Election2024.
In the category of “physician heal thyself”: make #vax appt at @DTBellevue@Safeway, feel infuriated at the clown show that is the pharmacy there (10 appts per 15min slot, one tech), decide to take my revenge by lying at self checkout re: no. of bags to cheat them out of 15cents
How much better/easier would my life be if I could get away with and be ok with the providing the standard/quality of care that I receive from my auto repair shop or home remodel contractor…
Directing an environmental film with the message “earth is beautiful, we destroyed it, but no worries, we’ll easily make another one from a dead planet and start again” and showing it in VEGAS is A Choice @SphereVegas@DarrenAronofsky
In a rental car, turn radio on, hear male voice sing love song with hook “the sweetness of his love”, think to self “society has come a long way! FM radio!” Not until next song that I realize the singer was talking about #Jesus#music
@Airport_FRA I was mostly referring to having to go through security checks (with different equipment/processes) every time the gate changes, and the *opaque* logic of the layout of the facility - FRA problems - but good to know @Airport_FRA
@ananavarro False choice - a trick I encourage parents to use. Do you want to take a shower before or after you brush your teeth? (There’s actually a secret third choice!!)
@PattyMurray I submitted a request for assistance with a federal agency to your office on May 30th, and while I didn’t receive any response from your office re: the inquiry, I have received spam email from your office. Does constituent service matter? @seattletimes@PattyMurray
@RepDelBene I submitted a request for assistance with a federal agency online via https://t.co/cQA4ylrHV3; i haven’t yet received a confirmation of receipt or any response - how would you advise I access help from you and/or your office?
@mlbaruchman The problem is particularly acute for children - despite recognition of a national youth mental health crisis, both commercial and state/federal payors show zero interest in rectifying the fundamental problem - they don’t want to fairly pay providers of mental health care
@KromanDavid@mlbaruchman This also allows masking of the inadequate networks, which in turn derives from their shamefully inadequate reimbursement rate for mental health care, combined with intentionally high administrative burden, disincentivizing providers from empaneling with insurers
