Business owners rely on census results to make decisions, such as where to open new stores, restaurants, factories, or offices, where to expand operations, where to recruit employees, and which products and services to offer.
Beginning early March, residents will begin to receive invitations to respond to the census.
It takes minutes to complete, but the outcome of the census will be felt for the next ten years. You have the power to impact the next decade in Santa Cruz County. Be Counted!

Count everyone living in your home as of April 1, 2020. This includes friends or family members who are living and sleeping there most of the time. If someone is staying in your home on April 1, and has no usual home elsewhere, you should count them!

Invitations to respond to the 2020 Census will be delivered between March 12-20. Once you receive that invitation, you can respond online, by phone, or by mail.
