Had a 3 week mission playing OPFOR at Fort Stewart GA. Our squad’s task was always the night attacks/defenses.
So we had to sleep during the day. In July.
Miserable.
Raider Focus 1999.
@GrizzledBastard My middle schooler said she would just die if I worked at her school.
But I’ll sign up for high school opportunities soon.
Elementary works so I can pick up my youngest when I’m done. They get out first.
4 days in a row of substitute teaching.
In a special ed classroom.
I stand by my statement that teachers don’t get paid enough.
Doubling down.
I’m spent.
@GrizzledBastard I’ve done 3rd and 5th grade classrooms so far. Oh,and the in house suspension room…that was unique.
The special ed class (this week)is K-4, handful from each grade.
All in one school district, but 3 different schools.
Mid GWOT I had an E5 that went to ranger school and failed three times in row before he passed. We were doing six on, six off in Afghanistan and this dude went to ranger school during his six off. This obviously went on three years before he made it. Then he ETS'ed. Happy Man Love Thursday!
@GrizzledBastard I went home every year for Turkey day I could go to until I was married. And then it was every other time…and then, more to my wife’s family. Because they reciprocated more. And it was rarely fun/relaxing at my family’s place.
Crazy how that phrase originated from not using your ejected round from doing sports and thinking you get a mulligan at a rifle range.
Maybe that’s why officers don’t wear marksmanship badges…hmm
Note to those military folks transitioning to the civilian sector.
No one understands the phrase, “does anyone have any alibis?”
But eventually someone will tell you.
