Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal – the former home minister – has been awarded the death sentence by Bangladesh's International Crimes Tribunal

Hasina found guilty by the ICT in 3 counts out of 5 charges brought against her.

She has been awarded life imprisonment under count 1.

She was found to have committed crime against humanity on the 2nd and 3rd count.

For these she has been awarded the death sentence.

Who exactly counted 3 million and where are those details? half a century since the war, there hasn't been a credible survey. it was possible to get an extremely accurate figure through surveys even until 10 years ago. it's still possible, but more difficult

the 3 million dead claim doesn't get credibility just because it was reported before Mujib stated it. previous reporting can be valuable evidence for sth, but it is context dependent. a very easy way to check the veracity of the number is to look for the survey(s) determining it
