In the wake of the triple murder of Carol, Hannah and Louise Hunt - and the terrible reporting that has ensued - @IPPR and @WileyGlobal have made our article on media reporting of domestic abuse killings open-access for one month.

I bet every time you’ve victim blamed a woman and said, ‘why didn’t she just leave?’
You hadn’t considered ‘incase he ties up her and her family and kills them all with a crossbow’, as one of the options.
We know for most women, the most dangerous moment in abuse is when they try to leave. You are most likely to be seriously attacked or killed as you leave, or just after you leave.
That was certainly true for me. Twice. One time resulted in lifelong injuries. Both resulted in police investigations and arrests. Just from choosing to end the relationship.
So next time you learn that a woman is stuck in abuse and can’t/won’t leave, maybe reserve your judgement and consider how much risk she knows she is at.

Here's another for you @SuellaBraverman. 18 year old boy from Enfield. His Mum dies and he has no family. He ends up homeless living in a shed. He gets my contact details and I help him. I put him in the Travelodge on the A10 for 2 weeks until I can find him a room in a housing association. I knew the staff so this was possible. He was scared, cold, wet, and starving when I picked him up. He cried for hours. Anyhow we looked after him and now he's doing a degree in engineering. It was not a lifestyle choice for him. And I'm sure he'd be more than happy to educate you on this.

Asks the Coercive Controller: How can I make the courts think that the Protective Parent is harmful vs that I am harmful? Hmm…I know! I will accuse the Protective Parent of what I have done or plan to do.

£12,000 for one lunch while, 4.2 million children in his own country regularly have to skip meals.
£12,000 for one restaurant table while homeless veterans eat out of bins & are arrested for stealing rotten food.
£12,000 for a couple of hours of fun while pensioners die of cold
My father was a paramedic, previously was in the marines.
My stepmother was paed liaison health visitor for our NHS Trust. She was involved in safeguarding meetings raising concerns on abuse etc.
My father was an abuser.
She ensured i hid it
While she judged other families.
What I realised through psychology was that it wasn't just my father's abuse but my stepmothers behaviour as well that caused trauma to me.
I know victims get a hard time for leaving. Some wonder how they will manage without their ex.
Some believing children should grow up in a household with both parents.
This is never the best for children in these situations.
I read about a mother who's son had eating problems he's been doing therapy his mother's been taking him
The child was opening up about his father's psychological abuse of him.
Safeguarding referral put In from the therapist.
Mother was sat there making excuses for the father's abuse while stating all the awful things her husband was saying and doing. Everyone was telling her this was abuse but she was so defensive she didn't want to hear it.
In cases like these sometimes its hard to convince mothers that this is abuse which impacts their children. The mothers brave enough to leave are dragged through #FamilyCourt
With #FamilyLaw
Ignoring all of the #domesticabuse #domesticviolence and ordering 50/50 or even full to the abuser.
The mother no longer able to protect even when she's done thr brave thing leaving. Some go back because rhey feel that at least they can protect their child in some way.
This is what is happening. What women are driven to.
Stop sitting in silence and speaking up for victims and their children.
I know more than anyone how hypocritical some of these professionals are.

The PR company Michelle Mone paid to "rescue her image" has dropped her!!
Here's some free PR advice ⏬
1. Pay back the money you've taken as a Pandemic Profiteer.
2. Say you're sorry
3. Give a multi million pound donation to an NHS Charity on top.
Cos only that could even begin to rescue your image.
