When someone “dismisses” a person’s symptoms as “psychological”, that’s an admission that mental illness isn’t really considered legit illness.
If a doctor misdiagnosed someone w epilepsy, you wouldn’t say they “dismissed the symptoms as epilepsy”, just that they’d got it wrong.
