Totally biased...but I really do love our speech and language family @SouthTeesSALT It's been the worst and best year all running in parallel. We have been there for each other and grown in extraordinary ways. Time for a well deserved rest to recharge . Here's to a fantastic 2021
Merry Christmas 🎄 from @SouthTeesSALT We’ve been hiding behind masks and visors all term so thought we’d share some of our festive smiles 😃 #nhs#speechtherapy#dreamteam
@RCSLTpolicy@CommonsEd Is there a place to see minutes from rcslt policy makers meetings that members can see. Keen to know how our bandings and clinical expertise is being protected on a more national level when in discussions with NhS commissioners and national bodies
"Our nation’s children, and those who teach them, can’t afford to wait any longer."
The speech and language crisis has reached a boiling point. Children with speech and language challenges MUST get support as early as possible!

@RightfulLives@senmum05@AmandaPritchard@ClaireCNWL@wesstreeting Some of the commissioners don't even have a decent level of knowledge of Autism & LD, it's an absolute disgrace. While taking money from the poorest they waste money to write reports & documents telling them about lessons they need to learn, when most of us know already
Yup…commissioners tend to chair CTRs…..ie the people who send people to hospitals because they lack the imagination/ability/will to sort out community care.
As we keep saying, @wesstreeting, you need to regulate mental health and autism/learning disability commissioners. Establish a professional body that sets standards, provides training and qualifications, peer support and an accountability route. It has to be the only profession that doesn’t have such a body, yet it wastes millions of pounds of taxpayers money and has control over thousands of lives.

Throughout history people have spoken up on behalf of children to create change. Whether that was to make sure all children could go to school or to put stronger safety laws in place to protect young people.
