Honestly, I'm tired of UBI pilots. They've tried them in a bunch of countries, they've all worked. They've all increased economic activity, allowed people to make better choices for themselves, let people set up businesses or escape poverty or escape abuse. Can we just implement?

@EMPAthy_atrophy I still wear a mask on public transit b/c I have gotten on way too many trains that sounded like TB wards over the years. An hour of barely circulated air in tin can… not good for a lot of reasons

Nurses have a lot of power over the care our loved ones receive and there is a power imbalance in asking this that not everyone will feel comfortable challenging

@Brian_G_Meek @piper4missouri The US currently pays twice avg of the countries w/ some variety of universal health care, w/ much worse outcomes, 30k deaths due to lack of healthcare & 300-600k/yr bankruptcies for med debt

And people still think that’s better than the idea of government health insurance

@piper4missouri If she’s uninsured and goes to ER like most uninsured do, it’ll cost govt/taxpayers so much more than a universal system. But insurance co lobbyist’s heads will explode cuz that’s where the biggest waste of $$ is. The lack of campaign finance reform is the root of most problems.
