People living in Plockton do not have to work solely in the village though there are hospitality jobs here. We are part of a much wider area with jobs in many sectors within easy commute.

Your solution that young people need to aim to earn a high salary, solves nothing. The issue remains and you’re asking victims to change.

@PaulPhi32271110 @kmacraeplockton Thank you for your patronising response. I’m very aware of the difference but here, people buy second homes which they rent as holiday rentals for the 40-50 weeks of the year that they are not here holidaying themselves. Thus not aligning with one single category.

@twicebeen_back @kmacraeplockton Other than Jan/Feb, people do sleep in the houses - tourists who have rented them from people who don’t live here. This being the issue. Incidentally, there is free designated campervan parking in another part of the village with incredible views.
