Happy Tuesday! My name is Sarah Tracey and I am a sophomore Music Education major with a minor in Music and Human Services! I can’t wait to show my day to you!
One thing that struck me was that some students in poverty are not aware that their lives are not "normal." They aren't aware that rats are not normal in homes and that some of the things that happen at home are not "okay" to everyone else. #leininterruptpoverty#educ300
1) This picture best illustrates an essentialism classroom. The teacher is in front of the class teaching with barely any interaction with the students. This teacher is most likely teaching one of the core curriculum classes; math, history, foreign language, or literature.
@professionalgu7 I see another Google Norm, psychological safety. Google takes care of its employees by giving them almost everything they need at their expense. This is very relieving and allows for a relaxing environment. #EDUC300#Spring015
@jordanekelley I feel like this article shows the Google Norms of meaning and impact. The people working for the hospital can see the impact this improvement is making on the patients, making them feel like their work matters. #EDUC300#Spring015
I feel that the students talked about in this article used meaning and impact to express their feelings and concerns about gun violence!

@LaurenC34789866 I feel like if you kept the traditional classes but added a new one for new music technology, the traditional learning should still be present. There will always be students who will be in only of those classes but there will also be students that will do both.
@williejcommins I feel that its good to know what's going on in music outside of school so that it might be able to be put into the classroom as well. This could bring in a lot of more people into the school music programs if we expanded our horizons to things other than classic music ensembles.
