Scripting is live in Rive. ✨
This is the creative freedom Flash gave designers and developers working together — rebuilt for modern platforms, without the plugin. And because Rive’s runtime and format are open-source, it's not going anywhere.
We previewed Scripting last night at the @rive_app NYC meetup with @duolingo!
Scripting lets you build entire experiences directly in the Rive Editor — and ship them anywhere with the Rive Runtime: websites, apps, games, products, vehicles, and more.
🚀 MCP support is now available in Early Access. Connect the Rive Editor with AI tools to handle repetitive tasks, like creating complex View Models, State Machines, Layouts, Shapes, and more.
Introducing Vector Feathering — a new way to create vector glow and shadow effects. Vector Feathering is a technique we invented at Rive that can soften the edge of vector paths without the typical performance impact of traditional blur effects. (Audio on 🔊)
Calcea Johnson and Ne'Kiya Jackson, who were featured on 60 Minutes last spring for their solutions to a 2,000-year-old puzzle, wowed the math world again on Monday by publishing several new ways to prove the Pythagorean Theorem using trigonometry.

Look man i "get it", I "get" the idea of coasters, I'm not a fucking moron, you don't want to damage your nice table you spent a lot of money on. I'm just saying, what is the table in the first place if not a coaster for the floor. I'm just saying, where does it end

That one of the great tragedies of life is the paradox of wisdom and age. As you become wiser about life and the world, you have less time to apply it yourself. So you try to pass it down, but some things just can't be heard in youth. It only comes through the experience of living. And then the cycle repeats: you remember that someone tried to give you some gems and you didn't listen, so you try to do the same. It's a somewhat cruel time loop of sorts, and I ponder over the design sometimes.
I'm really liking how it feels with touch and device orientation tracking. Crazy finally seeing my drawings come to life how I see them in my head. Can't wait to get the rest of the characters in there!

Thinking about the Starfield quest where you find Space Batwoman’s lair and she left an elaborate trap gauntlet for her son to overcome and take on the mantle but then you find his bullet-riddled body next to an audio log that says “mom what the FUCK? turrets? I’m an accountant!”
