Congress let the reimbursement rate fall so far below market that you can't find a Sec. 8 apartment in Sea. today.

We have only funded a fraction of the need for low-income housing. Nothing new is affordable without subsidies. It takes 40 years for new to trickle down to affordable. Meanwhile, displacement.

@UrbanistOrg A 4-story townhouse is an anathema to seniors, people with mobility disabilities and families with toddlers. They devote about 20% of their floors pace to stairs. Ban them! We need three-flats and courtyard buildings to accommodate everyone, not just highly paid couples!
