#HSBH2009 I downloaded the Steps App this week for our #mhealth tute activity, I hit my 10k goal in my 4 hours at work today! I’m excited to see if it is any different than the AppleWatch pedometer.
I woke up with severe pain in my calf, and I remembered earlier in the semester the HealthDirect symptom checker, which I found very easy to use! I have now booked to see a GP thanks to it's prompts! Check out this valuable resource yourself; https://t.co/W4NHmMVdwq

Telehealth is revolutionary. It benefits rural Aus or those struggling to travel to and from appointments. But issues like poor internet and equitable access to technologies have slowed its full implementation. This paper explores other issues:https://t.co/zSVQiC7zNf

@MalikBloul@headspace_aus@Smiling_Mind Yes, @Smiling_Mind is a completely free app, which makes it more accessible for those who need help the most! For example for those living in rural, regional or remote Aus, who may not be able to access a mental health professional #HSBH2009
It was definently a tedious time, I am very glad that NSW is beginning to reopen! Whilst I didn't try the @headspace_aus app, I did download the @Smiling_Mind to practice mindfulness when I was winding down. Did you try any of these apps @MalikBloul ?

@saralui0@LifelineAust#HSBH2009 This is such an important issue for young people. What has your experience been like during lockdown? I have noticed there are lots of digital initiatives/resources for mental health such as
@headspace_aus, have you used any of these?
Wow I’d love to try this too, however I feel my Apple Watch does a similar sort of thing, tracking heart rate using an optical heart sensor (photoplethsmography), with LED and infrared lights, but defs not as chic as this ring!
#HSBH2009
Came across a wearable device called the Oura ring, which tracks sleep activity & HRV using infrared light and sensors. This discreet mHealth device disguised as a ring sounds like something I’d love to try out, though it is quite pricey at $400! #HSBH2009

Wow, there has been so many technological advances since Iron Lungs, leading to the modern day ventilator, which has saved so many lives during this COVID pandemic! Not to forget the staggering vaccine advances as well!
#HSBH2009
Today is World Polio Day. Before the polio vaccine, Iron Lungs just like this one were used to help polio patients breathe. Today let’s celebrate the lives that vaccines have saved. Everyone 12 and over is eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine: https://t.co/hiryKDrzjT
During the lockdown, calls for help to services such as @LifelineAust reached a high, however, even now as restrictions have lifted, it is still as important as ever to look after your mental health! Don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re struggling! #HSBH2009
The #HSBH2009 workshop this morning featuring Elizabeth Ross, was such a rich and valuable resource that I know I will be able to implement all throughout my future. I already feel more confident writing a cover letter!
During lockdown, one-in-three Aussies aged 55+, BEGAN video conferencing or using mobiles to make phone calls to family.
This can help prevent loneliness and boredom in the older generations.

Yesterday, on the same day NSW hit the 70% double vax milestone, I also received my second dosage of Pfizer.
I was also thrilled to see that I can put my vaccine certificate in my digital wallet, so it is now accessible on my phone and watch!

This week we explored the use of Electronic Medical Records and lack of Electronic Health Records in Australian healthcare contexts. It brings the debate as to whether Australia should implement Electronic Health Records to follow patients, what do you think? #HSBH2009
This week we were challenged to reflect on how we present ourselves online; I decided to take this into account and remove the invisibility aspect, and reduce the Online Disinhibition Effect that I previously had by uploading a profile picture. Can you do the same?
