Hey Ruby community 👋
I'm currently exploring new career opportunities (open to work!)
📚I’m the author of https://t.co/ZTODPE7ojh, where I educate hundreds of developers on Rails & Hotwire.
In my past roles, I've architected and shipped:
✅ CRM, Edtech, Fintech, marketplace apps
✅ Complex multi-tenant apps with advanced authorization
✅ Complete billing infrastructures (SaaS subscriptions, one-time payments, usage-based)
✅ Modern Rails frontends with Hotwire, Stimulus, Tailwind
✅ Mobile apps with Hotwire Native
Available for fractional or full-time positions.
If you're scaling a Rails team or know someone who is, let's connect!🤙

So, we’ve started to make some announcements of the next #balticruby. Thank you @pan_sarin for having us at BRUG meetup. And we are starting to post more updates here too.

UPDATE: It’s midnight. The statute of limitations has run out. The victims’ families of the 2004 Tak Bai massacre won’t be able to seek justice as all fmr security officials have successfully evaded court.
Justice has been delayed for 20 years - now it’s been denied forever.
Before Rails 8.0 you could get away with
3.days.from_now + 2.days.ago
Which you shouldn't do, it returns nonsense 🙈
But after my commits, it's now deprecated!

One of Thailand’s most meaningful politicians urges fellow Thais to act on the country’s ticking time bomb: “We must accept that more than 6 million Myanmar people are already in Thailand. What we can do is to bring them above ground” (click “translate”)
Building a Debugger by @TartanLlama is a great book. The code is clean, one of the first books I've seen to actually go over X-Macros. Its hard to find intermediate books so definitely recommend this one if you're interested in how a debugger works.
I'm happy to announce the Stimulus LSP 1.0 release.
It ships the completely overhauled Stimulus Parser release to improve accuracy and false-positives.
A lot of new diagnostics, code actions, NPM package support and so much more!
I'd love to hear your feedback!
After 24 years in public service, I'm now open to new opportunities. If you think I could be an asset to your team, please reach out at [email protected]

I made a useful (+ cool?) thing in celebration of our community.

There will likely be bugs in the data (and the app) but I'd love to hear what you think of it. And if you see errors or your company is missing feel free to submit corrections.
Ruby LSP now has a brand new documentation website featuring visual demos: https://t.co/UugWou6Lyy
We're working hard to enrich the content with more feature demos and consolidated guides (addons, troubleshooting, roadmap, etc.). Stay tuned for updates! 😉
This is an amazing achievement. One parser to unify them all, in order to avoid duplicated work. And a correct Ruby parser is no small feat, it's >40k SLOC of C when including everything (encodings, serialization, etc)! Prism is now used by 5+ Ruby implementations and 10+ tools
[Appreciate a retweet!]
If you're planning on participating in the #PicoRuby workshop on Day 2 (tomorrow) of #EuRuKo2024, please read this page carefully. In particular, you'll need a USB cable, so if you don't have one yet, go out and buy one today!
