5. It’s in the details
This one seems obvious, but some mistakes happen faster than you can say "Deutschsprachiger Markt". If you pitch to all three countries of the DACH market, remember to use the correct currencies and links.
4. Don’t oversell on targets
Set appropriate goals and targets – manage your client’s expectations by setting lower targets than you would for the UK market.
@thisisnovos@justdigitalpr@DigitalPr_de 3. Educate your team and celebrate yourself
Working in the DACH market can be trickier than in other markets. Share the challenges you’re facing with your team, so everyone can celebrate your successes, knowing how much work went into them.
2. You might need to *talk* to journalists
Something my UK DPR colleagues have literally never done, but don’t be surprised if journalists want to speak to you on the phone.
1. Be early, be patient
Lead times are often longer, even for online media. If you are pitching for a special event or date, send your pitch about 3-5 weeks in advance.
Have you ever wondered how Digital PR works in Germany and the DACH market?
In my very first @thisisnovos blog post, I’m explaining the differences between the markets and their media landscape in comparison to the U.K.
