We’re 5 years into COVID. At Year 5 of HIV/AIDS, the CDC found the data hopeful & encouraging. They didn’t think it was that bad.
If we were in Year 5 of polio, we wouldn’t know how many people developed complications for another 5-10 years.
Our perception of time is warped.
They know what’s coming. So much dementia, cancer, heart disease, disability
So they’re cutting disability benefits and rolling out state euthanasia programs (there literally won’t/can’t be enough carers)
We could have all just worn masks for a while
Children are an oppressed class.
Solidarity with kids means wearing a mask and not subjecting them to debilitating infections that they have no say in.
I will never understand how people in my generation, who watched the AIDS crisis unfold, can be so careless about Covid.
It was a new virus. It could take over a decade to show its deadly effects.
How can they not remember that a new pathogen means the precautionary principle?
