TIL that the Spaced Repetition plugin in #Obsidian works SO MUCH BETTER with hierarchical tags such as # flashcards/Languages/French than individual tags.
That way, you can study ALL cards via # flashcards or dive into specific ones with for example # flashcards/Languages.
But oh, do they combine well!
• Todos just for tasks and projects, not for scheduling.
• Notes just for ideas and knowledge.
• Calendar just for blocking time to ensure projects move forward.
Each does what it's best at, nothing more.
Why did it take me this long? 😅
calendar + todos + notes = productivity
• Notes - Can't save knowledge without them.
• Todos - Best way to track projects and steps to take.
• Calendar - Can't plan outside the world of time.
Adding on a calendar and we're getting somewhere!
But, calendars don't do reflection, ideas, or give overviews of projects. Just blocks of time.
Without a todo list to keep track of detailed tasks and a list of projects, a calendar is just a long record of many present moments.
