Crypto is…
Desperate gamblers chasing their first bag.
Investors funding the buildout of the global casino.
Bankers hypnotizing the masses to collect their vig.
…all meaningless and ephemeral without the cypherpunks, who defend the dream of encrypted and unstoppable cash.
mac studios. if you are actually trying to compete w/ datacenters on running large models, that's pushing $40k+ of compute sitting on that desk, not $2,400
there are lots of good reasons to run your own inference and/or training (for example, w/ @WhiteMarbleDAO we just trained an ocr model to read deseret at something like 98.6% accuracy), but a whole bunch of the shit you'll see on twitter about cost savings, what is worth running locally, electricity costs, etc. is a crock of shit.
@Jason "we should seize half of peoples' assets" is the same as "people who aren't supposed to be here should leave" is a pretty retarded take, and frankly is going to get people pissed at you and more likely to support retarded things from bernie.
@ameensol@AdamDraper was gunna propose a slightly different version of this deal:
"me and my 6yo, vs you and your 6yo on ssb64. we win, you fund us".
Maybe @sathaxe will bite, provided the dadmaxxing angle...
"the skillful leader subdues the enemy's troops without any fighting; he captures their cities without laying siege to them; he overthrows their kingdom without lengthy operations in the field."
hitting your kids is an admission that you lost the battle 10 moves ago.
If the provision in the NDAA to integrate/synchronize the U.S. and Israeli militaries (section 224) makes it out of committee, I’ll offer an amendment to strip it from the bill on the floor.
We are a sovereign country.

i don't get why people do this whole 'enclosed components' drone thing for explosive payload fpv builds. it adds cost and weight, offers no benefit, and seems to be to be just to 'look good' for launch videos.
there are certainly some use cases where you might want more carefully encased units, but this ain't one.
Tenet Industries (@industriestenet) is building low-cost, mass-producible defense systems, starting with strike drones.
Defense primes are still building Bugattis and Ferraris. Tenet is building the F-150 for defense.
Most loaders are forgettable. I built this as a design exploration at Mistral to see what happens when they’re not.
Today, I’m open sourcing it. Build something wild, tag me, and send over any feedback or bugs you find.
I connected Claude to my drone and attached a BB gun to it and it hunts squirrels while I am at work and sends me replay videos when it gets confirmed kills
@Thomas__Jerome they also probably spent 20k more than they should have on health insurance premiums and deductibles, just to get the chance to contribute 8.5k tax free.
should just get @JoinCrowdHealth instead.
