He stressed that bulk of the Indian electorate is rural,and prefers direct contact with their leaders, not through (media) intermediaries. So PM Modi does just that. Since he wins elections regularly, this technique must be working!

@naveedlyallpur @KanwalSibal This is not a question of directness in communication. A confidential conversation is just that: confidential. Revealing it is to violate the rules governing diplomacy. US officials and diplomats operate according to the same rules.

Ro Khanna broke that rule. Period.

@honestman96963 @KanwalSibal If you start doing that, NO foreign official or diplomat will ever talk to you. Diplomatic conversations are meant to be confidential until it is thought appropriate to reveal them. That is how diplomacy works, and why it works.
