What am I doing at the NIH and how did I get there? Elsevier featured my story and sponsored my Fulbright Scholarship. Thanks Elsevier!

Thanks for contributing to this paper @wntlab@TannevanderWal and of course also Gooitzen Zwanenburg and Mark Hink!
The paper that my co-authors and I worked on for a long time has been accepted @eLife https://t.co/QBpJLzcmgo. It was extra special that Rosa Schogt, our artist in residence @wntlab wrote this poem to accompany the paper. I absolutely love it!

We are launching this publication with an accompanying piece of art/outreach. More specifically, our artist in residence, Rosa Schogt, composed a poem especially for the occasion (in Dutch, below). I am equally excited about this interdisciplinary aspect of our work!
Super excited to receive e-mail from @eLife starting with "congratulations". Couldn't ask for a better home for our story. Thanks critical & fair reviewers! Preprint link below, official thread to follow. Congrats co-authors & especially @Saskia_deMan!

@peiferlabunc I am trying to figure out when the term "destruction complex" was coined. I went back until I found your review with Paul Polakis from 2000 (Wnt Signaling in Oncogenesis and Embryogenesis--a Look Outside the Nucleus). Was this the start of the "destruction complex?"
We are really excited to announce our new pre-print:
"Quantitative live-cell imaging yields novel insight into endogenous WNT/CTNNB1 signaling dynamics"
Find it here, on @biorxivpreprint:

Had an amazing time at the Wnt signaling Gordon Research Seminar & Conference. So many nice colleagues, talks and discussions. Thanks for all the feedback and the poster prize! You gave me a big boost to continue the work!

How big is a cell?
It's a question I ask my 1st-year university students. As a class we work out an answer by discussing various cell types and comparing length scales.
This video is great - nicely shows the sizes of different cells and viruses.
