An IAS officer in Chhattisgarh FIXED a maternal health CRISIS that the government couldn't solve with a recipe older than modern medicine.

She did it with a ladoo!
Yes, you read that right 🤯

Okay so here’s what happened:
Koriya district had one of the worst maternal health records in the state:

→ High-risk pregnancies → Underweight babies → Mothers going into labour severely anaemic.

Simply because pregnant women weren't getting enough nutritious food.

So District Collector Chandan Tripathi did something no consultant would pitch.

She turned a grandmother’s ragi modak into a structured maternal health system.

Here’s what they did differently:

→ Created iron-rich ragi modak ladoos (dietician approved)
→ Gave 2 ladoos daily to every pregnant woman
→ Added iron supplementation from the 5th month
→ Paired each woman with a “Poshan Sangwari” to ensure she actually consumed them

They called it the Koriya Modak Ladoo programme.

The most brilliant part about this is that they didn't hire outsiders to make the ladoos.

The same women it was meant to help now make the ladoos, earning ₹10,000–12,000 per month.

And look at the results now:

✅ 57% reduction in low birth weight cases.
✅ 362/398 underweight mothers gained healthy weight
✅ 3,00,000+ ladoos distributed so far.

And all of this was possible not because of a ₹100 crore government tender but because of trust in community knowledge and the will to execute it properly.

Sometimes the most powerful solutions aren’t expensive.

I think India is basically an anarchy which somehow survives because a few people have the conscience, morality or spirituality to do what they are supposed to do.

I read a case in Trivandrum about a lady who wanted to buy a Skoda car to fulfill her dying mother's last wish.

She called Skoda on where to purchase the car. Skoda Customer care asked her to go to their Authorized dealer in Trivandrum pay an advance, to book the car, which she duly paid.

Then the dealer asked her for 5 Lakhs to expedite delivery, which she did. This was for her dying mother after all.

Parallely, HDFC bank processed her car loan and paid the money directly to the dealer without asking her.

In total she payed close to Rs 14 Lakhs of her money to buy a Skoda Slavia. For her mother.

Then put of the blue the dealership shut shop. She didn't get her car.

So logically she approached Skoda.

And what do they do?

Skoda being Skoda, has washed their hands off this matter saying they recieved no money from the dealer. So they cannot give her a car.

Apparently they are not responsible for the actions of "Skoda Authorized Dealers" recommended by Skoda Customer care.

On top of that, They even asked her to pay another 16 Lakhs, to their Ernakulam dealership, so that she can buy a brand new Skoda Slavia, because of it has amazing build, high safety rating and awesome drive quality.

Poor lady has been fighting a case in the courts for the last two years, where Skoda is resolutely determined to deny her a car that she paid for.

She is making rounds to our courts, paying for lawyers and paying interest and EMIs for the car loan, for the car she never got.

Because a Skoda Authorized dealer, recommended by Skoda, ran away with her money and Skoda is refusing to take ownership for this fiasco.

Can you imagine a functioning country with a remotely active legal system, where a person Authorized by the company, can take money from a customer in the name of the company, run away, and company can claim zero responsibility for it?

In India you can.

Skoda has done it in this case.

Which is why, in India if you pay for something and get it, remember it is because the person giving it you, does it out of his own morality and conscience.

Not because of the repercussions of not adhering to a contract.

Our entire society is run because few people are conscientious enough to do what is right.

Not because of our systems and legal process.

Which is wrong.

Would Skoda have dared to pull this stunt in a western country?

They wouldn't.

P:S: Her mother, for whom she bought this car, passed away two years ago without seeing the car.

P:P:S : The same Skoda refunded the full amount and gave additional compensation to an Indian govt babu because of a repainted side panel, but is refusing to even hear a genuine issue of a common person. Are we tax payers that powerless in this country?

On this sacred day of Janmashtami, Dayalbagh Agra, the spiritual headquarters of the Ra-Dha-Sva-Aa-Mi faith, celebrated the birth anniversary of His Holiness Soami Ji Maharaj, Shri Shiv Dayal Singh Sahab. Born on August 24, 1818, in Panni Gali, #Agra, on the divine day of Janmashtami, HE became the pioneering spiritual guide who established a movement dedicated to the pursuit of inner truth and divine connection.

In 1861, at the age of 43, PPPD Soami Ji Maharaj began publicly sharing his teachings on Surat Shabd Yoga, focusing on merging the soul with the eternal sound current. His discourses drew a devoted following, laying the foundation for the #RaDhaSvaAaMi faith. After his departure in 1878, the movement continued to flourish, leading to the establishment of #Dayalbagh in 1915 under the leadership of Param Guru Huzur Sahabji Maharaj, the fifth revered leader, who shaped Dayalbagh into a thriving center for spiritual, educational, and social advancements.

His spiritual legacy was immortalized through the construction of his sacred Samadh at Soami Bagh, Agra—a site revered as a profound symbol of devotion and spiritual significance for followers. The Samadh stands as a timeless beacon of the eternal light and boundless love emanating from Param Purush Puran Dhani Soami Ji Maharaj’s teachings, continually inspiring seekers on the path toward spiritual liberation and divine truth.
