In what authorities are investigating as a targeted act of terror, two Israeli embassy staff members were shot and killed Wednesday night outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., during an event hosted by the American Jewish Committee (AJC) for Jewish young professionals.

The terrorist allegedly wore a keffiyeh and shouted “Free Palestine!” before opening fire on the victims. The museum, located near the FBI’s Washington Field Office and the U.S. Attorney’s Office, was immediately placed on lockdown as federal and local law enforcement launched a massive response.
