At what point did you know your specialty was the one?

Final year, I wrote MSK and Sports. Internship: I fell for neuro🧠 Then, a job interview pulled me to cardiopulmonary —
the area I was scared of.

Fast forward: Now doing an MSc in Cardiopulmonary physio.

Not all heel pain is plantar fasciitis. I’ve seen so many patients who have tried everything - physical therapy, orthotics, massages, corticosteroid injections, multiple podiatrists - and after years of pain, they didn’t even have plantar fasciitis. Baxter’s nerve compression can mimic heel pain almost perfectly. The diagnosis is made clinically. Burning or tingling can be common. Pain often builds through the day rather than only with the first few steps.

I know he got better with time.
I, for one know that when I'm teaching the same thing to a different cohort, it's always better than the previous one..

the flow, the articulation, time management.... Literally everything

And, one key thing is reflecting on the loopholes after each class and working on how to be better for the next one.

@savaGePhysio @mittalbhumika7 I had an organic chemistry lecturer who taught 1st and 2nd year courses with nothing but the course outline in front of him, everything off the top of his head. With examples. It was only when he got to teaching honours classes, he’d arrive with a single sheet of paper.

@mittalbhumika7 I'm an MSc student. So, my supervisor assigned a topic in one of the courses he was teaching the undergrad to me.

I taught for the first time with my handwritten notes instead of the PowerPoint slide...

And need I say that I learnt the need for a PowerPoint that day😭😭
