Illegal Taxi Operations in Colaba
white number plates Innovas are being openly used as taxi for hotel guests near Mereweather Road, near hotel Taj for nearby hotels like Garden, Godwin, Oliver, Gulf, etc.
They Do NOT have taxi permits, don't pay commercial taxes

Kalaghoda parking lot has been made free by @mybmc. After a sting op, the contractor was caught overcharging & collecting fees in a no-parking zone near Jehangir Art Gallery. Now blacklisted for 3 yrs, deposit of ₹36.69L seized.

The civic body has urged citizens not to pay any parking fees at the Kalaghoda traffic island area in the interim.

Met with citizen groups and resident associations from Colaba that have been facing insult and injury of the bjp government’s policy and proposal build a concrete jetty, amphitheater and much more between Gateway of India and Radio Club.

This so called development will not serve any other purpose than helping the contractor, and the politicians behind this.

The basic issue is, why can’t the local elected representative hear the citizens/ voters?

The citizens have been concerned, been protesting, voicing their issues and the elected MLA (also having the ability to cancel this project) has been ignoring their plea.
Token support won’t help, when the position he holds, has enough respect and power to cancel this project with a phone call.

I have promised my support to the citizens to fight against this injustice and more so, have asked the citizens to be united, recognise which political party stands with them- not just tokenism or during elections, but more so post elections!

@PMOIndia request you to please consider requesting Hon Pm to intervene in the no jetty at Gateway of india cause. which is being bulit for vvips and will cause lot of misery to old residents and all residents including severe bottlenecks to traffic in a class 1 heritage area.

So beautiful. Heritage needs to be preserved but GATEWAY OF INDIA and its precinct at Colaba is going to be destroyed by the monster Jetty. It’s the lure for lucre. Politicians care a damn for the environment and Heritage.
