One of the hazardous conditions of cleaning and removing sludge from tanks involve the releases of various gases, e.g., hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, methane, ammonia and others. This release will affect the safety and health of the tank cleaners and should be closely controlled. The venting of the tank to keep the atmosphere safe for the workers will result in a discharge to the environment and exposure to the neighborhoods.

On this Lā Hoʻihoʻi Ea, Hawaiian Sovereignty Restoration Day, I want to point to a document drafted & signed by over 800 of our Kūpuna across Pae ʻĀina Hawaiʻi in 1994, the Nation of Hawaiʻi Constitution.

181yrs ago the Hawaiian Kingdom’s sovereignty was restored after British occupation. On July 31 1843 Kauikeaouli said: “Ua mau ke ea o ka ea o ka aina i ka pono.” Despite imperial aggression & settler occupation, our people & sovereignty continue to rise.

thinking of my fellow Pacific peoples of Teahupo’o, Tahiti…Shame on France to host the Olympic surfing event there, it is a cancer hot spot because of the French government’s nuclear testing in 1974.
“Free Palestine. Free Congo. Free Sudan. Free Yemen. Free Hawai’i. Free Guam. Beyond a ceasefire, we need an end to the occupation. It’s deeper than this. I need everybody that’s here right now, everybody that’s watching to step up: to use their voices.” —@Kehlani 🥺🫀🙏🏽
This Sunday (8/4) at 1pm at Old Stadium Park! No more shady landlords taking advantage of us. Learn how YOU can hold your landlord accountable.
Bring food, a friend, and your manaʻo!
Sneak peek of new article “Becoming Hoa: Indigenous Political Thought & the Question of Settler Aloha ʻĀina in Hawaiʻi”🙃
Settler liberal humanism’s attachment to Indigenous worldviews and practices should be reconsidered even as it clings tightly to the language of solidarity.
In 1995, Hawaiian political prisoner Bumpy Kanahele was been arrested & jailed to prevent him from implementing a process of self determination & self governance supported by 800+ Native Hawaiian Kupuna (elders) representing every Hawaiian Island
Our goal should be the establishment of a class-less society focused on a fair redistribution of resources & wages into our communities. We have the power to reset our system & chart a new path forward
We have a legal framework our Kūpuna felt confident in that we should explore
"You stand here tonight as the representative of a commander in chief that is actively committing genocide in the world."
From Native Americans to Hawaiians, to the US's support of Israel's occupation of Palestine, this legacy of oppression must end. Stand up!
Honored to share my leo among the powerful wave of testimony given this week in resistance to the US Army’s attempt to renew fraudulent $1 leases on 6,322 across Oʻahu that expire in 2029.
It’s time for these stolen Crown Lands to be returned. #landback

The Pacific Islands Forum @ForumSEC and its members (including @MFATNZ and @dfat) must urgently condemn France's abhorrent treatment of Kanaky independence leaders and demand their release. This is the exact kind of colonial violence that the @ForumSEC must take action against
Our moana nui has more than 10,000 islands, each with unique customs, creation stories, and culture. As NHPI communities in diaspora, we must stay connected to the waters that bind us.
Along Thurston St in Suva, Fiji - the Fiji Women's Crisis Centre has raised the West Papua and Palestine flags while the Pacific Conference of Churches (@lotupasifika) has raised the Kanaky flag. This is powerful Fijian solidarity.

The French have deprived the Kanaky of
their right to independence for far too long. Their most recent maneuvering would allow settlers residing in the occupied territory for more than 10 years to be able to vote, which would dilute efforts at a pro-independence referendum.
I continue to point to the work occurring at NOH to highlight the gains possible through revolutionary struggle. Occupation led to a landbase, which is now expanding as lineal descendants intentionally exercise self determination over our national homelands.
