It is within the power of the council to ensure facilities are retained.

@SaveOasis Some ideas - main point provides incr flex to position as a regional centre - keep/grow a 'full fat' leisure centre/district with nearby ents too? Put Swindon on map and draw in visitors as well as business?!

@SaveOasis Shld incl Oasis masterplan in Thames Valley initial Strategic Infrastructure Plan coming in late 2027. Also leverage freshly approved £9.1 million Good Growth dev fund to independently audit Seven's financial viability models & prep a ready-to-go business case for a new Mayor.

@SaveOasis Rightly so! The plan is a betrayal of the clear message the public have sent to the council and further proof that they show no regard for the protection of heritage buildings or leisure facilities which is why the public have to fight them every step of the way.

This photo shows just how much land 7C have. If they bin off the warehouses, all the houses can go on the former Clares site. (To the left). That way, the iconic view of the grade II listed dome against Swindon's skyline is preserved, and full sports facilities can be rebuilt.

@SaveOasis I've never expected any warehouses to be built. Fully expect SevenCapital to put as many flats as they can on The Oasis site then declare that nobody is interested in the warehouses and apply for more flats there.
