Can't remember a more powerful first Holyrood speech. @duncdunlopwas ex-CEO of @whocaresscot on @NicolaSturgeon's failure (as he sees it) over 'The Promise' to children in care and the care-experienced. Passion, frustration, a call for action.

@SaulStaniforth So they've made up another policy on the hoof that'll be worked on at some point in the future. Not the way a competent government runs a country.
@RobHLondon@MrMajestikness Cameron called a referendum and the result was to the Leave the EU. He himself was a remainer and campaigned accordingly. He then resigned immediately and did nothing that took the UK out of the EU. We're still part of Europe, our nation has not been towed to a new location.
@TeamGBicehockey Just 28 and retiring!! Was expecting at least a few more years playing. Liam Kirk is 26 will he be making an announcement soon? Mark Ruchardson may have to continue until he hits his 50's.
@mhclg Feels like yet more policy announcement flim flam. Same thing that has been announced and reannounced every couple of years by every government since Major was Prime Minister. Will be interesting to see what is being 'guaranteed' and what the punishment will be for failures.
@Keir_Starmer You want it on free to air TV then add it to the 'crown jewels'... just in case you're not aware, you're the Prime Minister and your party has a big majority.
@DrGABaines@Heidi_Labour@UKLabour British Rail was run on a shoestring, possibly the leanest most fiscally efficient railway system in the world. Clueless politicians more interested in quick promotions and their party's agenda didn't understand what it brought to the table.
@Simmsey19@BannersOTW "18 fit (not IR) imports can be registered to a team at any one time." i.e. 18 imports on a teams roster, 3 of whom can't dress/play on a match day.
@Simmsey19@BannersOTW 15 out of 20 dressed players can be imports in the EIHL - with 18 on the roster. No surprise then that younger British players in the EIHL aren't getting anything like enough ice time to develop and get better. Pete Russell is having to look to the NIHL in desperation. Madness.
Environment Agency inaction is a national scandal. On the Wye and many other rivers agricultural pollution is the most significant factor in worsening water quality. When will the EA enforce the law and protect our rivers?
