@julianHjessop They pay Corporation Tax of 28% with the 3% surcharge... I will not weep for them. The higher rate income tax band is 40%... point being individuals who earn more pay more tax. Let's do the same for Corporations.

@premnsikka Many CEO's see this country and its taxpayers as targets for fleecing whilst they enrich themselves. Sadly, loads of our politicians already look at our nation the same way.

@premnsikka Modern Britain. Corrupt in almost every way. A mechanism that was put in place to save jobs and help business learn from their mistakes turned into a blank cheque for the greedy.

For 15 years, I've campaigned for a better care system.

We spend years pushing a boulder uphill, fighting for change. Just when we think we're reaching the top, it rolls straight back down.

Different year. Different government. Same conversations.

We have solutions. We have innovation. We have ideas we've never tried before. Yet we keep hearing the same old rhetoric.

We could make care experience a protected characteristic.

We could cap the profits private organisations make from vulnerable children.

We could invest in prevention rather than continually paying for failure.

So why haven't we?

After 15 years, I'm tired of watching that boulder roll back down the hill.

Because at the bottom are children and young people who don't have another 15 years to wait.

We don't need another conversation about change. We need the courage to deliver it.

@premnsikka Corporate scroungers. Why aren't the company funding it on their own? Because they've got Britain's civil servants and politicians in their pockets. @andyburnham it's time to put a stop to this funneling of taxpayer money into shareholders bank accounts.

@premnsikka The law is broken but not enforced... 'what point is the law' say our politicians 'I know, let's get rid of it'. Government needs there head examining, the answer is enforce the law and not giving the criminal corporations a free ride.

@WallStreetApes Lots of Poles left when the country joined the EU because of the poor economy & low incomes. Few migrants want to go there for the same reason plus the language barrier and no historic ties like the European nations that colonised the world.

I assume this will involve a convoluted incomprehensible structure to hide the debt mountain until it collapses and we have no water coming out of our taps. @jimrobbins @Heidi_Labour The massive difference will be when people make a complaint about it and nothing gets done, no-one gets fined & belief in our laws & the Police will slump even further. Nobody seems to enforce the laws we've got so adding more laws is just pointless unless it's about big stuff.
