@WeDravidians Why does the success of a woman seem to bother some people? Political disagreements are one thing, but targeting or insulting women is unacceptable. If people reject a political model, the answer is introspection and better governance—not personal attacks.
@rodr88196@narayanantbjp@CMOTamilnadu@TVKVijayHQ We are educated and understand the difference between criticism and decency. But what about the Opposition Leader? His remarks have been widely condemned as inappropriate and unbecoming of a public figure. At the very least, he owes the public a sincere apology.
@sumanthraman@aratnam Would your response be the same if those very words were directed at the women in your own family? It’s easy to dismiss such remarks when they affect someone else, but the real test is whether we would accept the same treatment for our mothers, sisters, wives, or daughters.
@sumanthraman Before granting anticipatory bail, the voices and concerns of the women of Tamil Nadu deserved to be heard. Normalizing such degrading language in public discourse only weakens respect for women and can influence attitudes toward them even within homes and society.
@sumanthraman If he truly regretted his remarks, why didn’t he issue an apology on social media or during his press meet? When a person refuses to acknowledge a mistake, accountability becomes necessary. As a woman, I believe the arrest was justified.
@sumanthraman@itissubhasree Seriously, do you think what he said is acceptable? As women, we feel deeply hurt when some men use abusive and degrading language about women simply to attack or defame another man. How can anyone justify or support such behavior?
@narayanantbjp It’s strange how society works. When people want to attack or defame a man, they often drag a woman connected to him into the controversy. Why should a woman’s dignity become collateral damage in someone else’s political or personal battle?
