@NIKITAT02262400 They’re related subgroups of the broader Beaker Culture/Horizon, but there are some noted differences in beaker typology and other details such as grave orientation. Also, the Central Dutch group’s burials were noted to be significantly richer than the NE Dutch/NW German group’s.

@Honvelis of continuity and gradual change. The archaeological record doesn't require a particular proximity of "NWB" and Gmc on the cladogram, instead making an affinity of the former more with pre-Celtic Britain more likely (which doesn't really help, of course).

@Honvelis The Tungri name is actually quite possibly Germanic, derived from the zero-grade of PIE *denḱ- and related to PG *tingan-. I kinda like "Paleo-Rhenan" btw, although it doesn't cover the full extent of the NWB and definitely includes "non-NWB-speakers" at the upper Rhine.
