I saw that public school is set up so that you fit into the ‘cookie cutter’ student. By forcing them into a box this limits the creativity that is being produced. This shows the effort of a teacher and that they will only have to know one teaching style. #ratc19

An impact of teaching styles I have seen is with my brother Boyce. He has ADHD and struggles to focus. The teachers at his school were unaccommodating and it really hurt him in school. Since his teachers weren't accommodating, he hates school, which could've been avoided. #ratc19

American University’s child development center offers a play based, child-centered curriculum to children. Visiting here showed me that this teaching style lets kids learn the pace they need with some assistance if it’s needed and that not all children learn the same way. #ratc19

As students progress in their education, their preferred learning styles change. Both students and teachers need to adapt to provide the best outcome. However, even though the teacher should be accommodating, the student should try to best adapt to the teaching style. #ratc19

This is something that I can relate to. When graduating high school I was able to do numerous math problems but not able to handle real world issues. I find it very important to have children finish school with knowledge that they can use later in life.

WOW! This is something that I am extremely jealous of! I wish that when I was younger that I had learned another language easier. I am a big component of teaching other languages young because children are able to learn better!

What a day at @EastPoint_SC! EPA is a Language Immersion school, where students learn to speak Mandarin Chinese, and ALL of their core content is also taught in Mandarin Chinese. I sat in a science class, and I only understood the images.😁 #2020SCTOY #scteachers

I think that it is really cool that people of power in today's society sit down with children in school and talk to them. I think that it is very important to include children in decisions and the only way to two that is sit down and hear their opinion.

I feel strongly about the statement. I think that it is very important to have teacher who actually want to teach and enjoy teaching. I have had too many teachers where you can see that they hate teaching. We need to teacher to care and want to be at their job.
