@AM_Sikorski I do agree that by brining up issues that are uncomfortable to talk about can really shed light on them and can cause people to come to a solution.
@CRosenwinel This is a great way to end the paper! It really calls out things in society that people don't really notice. It is important to educate ourselves so that we don't get taken advantage of. #ratc19
If the teacher cares, they'll work to adapt and teach different styles, creating a more well rounded teacher. This research proves that teaching styles do affect learning. Society should make sure that teachers know multiple teaching styles to provide the best education. #ratc19
I saw that public school is set up so that you fit into the ‘cookie cutter’ student. By forcing them into a box this limits the creativity that is being produced. This shows the effort of a teacher and that they will only have to know one teaching style. #ratc19
My major is secondary education and history so I'm trying to learn as much about education before I become a teacher myself. After doing this research it showed me that by mixing an arrange of styles, it’ll be the most effective to reach the most possible students. #ratc19
There are students like Boyce in schools everywhere. Since some teachers aren't willing to change or don't know how to teach to them, it really puts the students at a disadvantage. This problem could be helped by knowing various teaching styles and adapting to kids needs. #ratc19
An impact of teaching styles I have seen is with my brother Boyce. He has ADHD and struggles to focus. The teachers at his school were unaccommodating and it really hurt him in school. Since his teachers weren't accommodating, he hates school, which could've been avoided. #ratc19
American University’s child development center offers a play based, child-centered curriculum to children. Visiting here showed me that this teaching style lets kids learn the pace they need with some assistance if it’s needed and that not all children learn the same way. #ratc19
Even though there are many articles that prove that teaching styles affect students learning, some don't believe it. They think that these tests only say something about your personality but not academics. However, there are numerous sources that prove they correlate. #ratc19
Not only can teachers affect students learning, but they can also affect their achievement. The link below shows a study done to show that teaching styles can either positively or negatively affect a students learning, achievement, and motivation. https://t.co/eeH4SK2GsN #ratc19
As students progress in their education, their preferred learning styles change. Both students and teachers need to adapt to provide the best outcome. However, even though the teacher should be accommodating, the student should try to best adapt to the teaching style. #ratc19
The first thing that should be done is identifying both the teaching and learning style. There are numerous tests, like The VARK Questionnaire, and sites to figure this information out. This will make sure the student student gets the information in the way they need it. #ratc19
This is something that I can relate to. When graduating high school I was able to do numerous math problems but not able to handle real world issues. I find it very important to have children finish school with knowledge that they can use later in life.
WOW! This is something that I am extremely jealous of! I wish that when I was younger that I had learned another language easier. I am a big component of teaching other languages young because children are able to learn better!
What a day at @EastPoint_SC! EPA is a Language Immersion school, where students learn to speak Mandarin Chinese, and ALL of their core content is also taught in Mandarin Chinese. I sat in a science class, and I only understood the images.😁 #2020SCTOY#scteachers
I think that it is really cool that people of power in today's society sit down with children in school and talk to them. I think that it is very important to include children in decisions and the only way to two that is sit down and hear their opinion.
"Forged in the fires of real-world leadership as mayor of Newark, Booker’s views on public education are both plain and consistent over time, " says Chris Perf. Read more: https://t.co/BFU2Ab4PJz @CoryBooker
I feel strongly about the statement. I think that it is very important to have teacher who actually want to teach and enjoy teaching. I have had too many teachers where you can see that they hate teaching. We need to teacher to care and want to be at their job.
