A forest fire seen in the Dharampur hills from Kasauli, along with similar incidents across Himachal Pradesh, highlights growing environmental concerns and the cost of unchecked urbanisation.
@MeghUpdates@narendramodi I. was once an ardent admirer of Hon’ble PM & placed great faith in vision of Central Government. However, my optimism has recently been shaken by manner in which environmental concerns are being compromised in pursuit of unprecedented infrastructure development.
@iNikhilsaini That’s true… such worst scenarios were seen in Mussoorie also…edges of waterfalls concretised & littered… in the present scenario, prime duty of govt is enforcement of policies & legislations for conservation of natural resources, which cease to exist…यह अति दुर्भाग्यपूण है
@10077Viswa@navipeth@republic@CSEINDIA This is not false panic. Just because I don’t speak language of development doesn’t mean I’m wrong. Also, there must be equal balance of people in the society speaking about the subjects they feel concerned about.. & one must respect other’s perceptions without feeling insecure
@navipeth @republic @CSEINDIA Massive Tree Felling Begins for Adani-Operated Coal Mine in Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh -why republic is silent on this?Are environment issues not the concern?Tree felling comes under which SDG goal https://t.co/hoGGvyRreg
@sanjayesinghvam@navipeth@republic@CSEINDIA While need to power millions of homes is not disputed, compromising our green cover in name of development undermines long-term environmental sustainability. Nature has become most undervalued asset . What purpose will development serve if there’s no oxygen left to sustain life
@indiawater@navipeth@MongabayIndia@CSEINDIA Delhi’s Yamuna to Get Sabarmati-Style Riverfront? https://t.co/GmWabzn77y “Does the Yamuna need this? The river’s floodplains must evolve into a self-sustaining ecology, prioritizing ecological benefits over recreational use.”
@CMODelhi @CSEINDIA How a city killed a river: lessons from Delhi’s Sahibi river for Pune’s urban planners…. Point to note down is “Creating riverfronts does not address the pollution in the rivers and, in fact, can worsen flooding” https://t.co/HpYMhnInnk
@narendramodi@down2earthindia@moefcc@MongabayIndia Bhatta falls @ Mussoorie... Can the edges of waterfalls be spared from this kind of ruthless developmt!! If ecologists & environmentalists are silent on this, then no one can ensure the survival of humankind on this earth
@moefcc Nature is innocent being silently sacrificed to satisfy whims & fancies of human civilization
Dried streams,punctured mountains, displaced fauna, unstable earth, natural calamities-all in name of ‘accomplished projects.
Bt at wht cost? Wht we want- progress or survival
@chacha510987 @Saffron_Caravan The innocent trees which were sacrificed for this resort, can't speak for themselves😭😭😭 but mother nature definitely will..... & It will speak & retaliate in the form of some calamity..... May God grant some "budhi" to people in power🙏🙏🙏
@NDTVWORLD@ndtv Nothing as bad as the govt which is responsible for laying down legislatures for tree protection itself promoting cutting down trees to Build Road For Climate Summit.."RIP" for sacrificed trees 😭😭😭
@drmbct@RailwaySeva@narendramodi@AshwiniVaishnaw Thanks for acknowledgement i urge & plead indian railways to act at grass root level to tackle this problem. Either RAC shd b eliminated/or utilised for wider berth or side berths in trains should be made comfortable to ensure customer satisfaction.
@narendramodi@PMOIndia@AshwiniVaishnaw@IndianRailMedia@vbhat1972 condition of side berth in IInd AC NDLS MMCT Duranto express is very pathetic, it is not worth the amount being charged. For Side berths half of paid amount shd be refunded. The food served is equally pathetic
@IRCTCofficial@sb24377 The complaint has been unilaterally closed. This issue is simply about refund due to RAC but it’s about if the side berths deserve the hefty price that is being charged. Compare the main berths with side berths, they are smaller in size and grossly inconvenient. Services r poor.
@RailwaySeva@PMOIndia@AshwiniVaishnaw@IndianRailMedia
Govt must take proactive measures to improve the condition of side berths in all trains. Myself & many other customers bear the burden of paying substantial fares for infrastructure that does not meet expectations.
