Until you break the company into pieces.

Here’s the SOTP math:

Cigarettes → ₹248/share
FMCG → ₹68
Paper & Packaging → ₹6
Agriculture → ₹10
Investments → ₹30
ITC Infotech → ₹12

Estimated SOTP: ₹374/share

Current Market Price: ₹260

That’s roughly a 30% discount to the sum-of-the-parts valuation.

And there’s another interesting number:

ITC is trading around 16x PE vs its 10-year median of ~25x.

Dividend yield: ~5.5%

So why is the market not paying ₹374?

Because valuation alone doesn't create returns.

The market wants to see earnings growth + margin recovery before re-rating ITC.

This is the part most investors miss:

A cheap stock can stay cheap.
A re-rating needs a trigger.
