@Ms_VPalmer I have never used AI, but a coworker of mine actually used it to grade his papers. It was an amazing resource because he actually found a few kids who used AI to write. When it comes to the kids I do not plan on using it. #wuedt6020
@JJefferiesWilmU As a special education teacher I use resources like Kahoot all the time. I look at it like an extension of me. When I am not able to work directly with them they can use computers which will read it to them. If the security is in place I think it is a great resource. #wuedt6020
@emily_osterman1 I agree with everyone so far that mentioned resources like Securely or Go Guardian. My school uses Go Guardian and it is an amazing resource. Even if I am not in the class I can log in and monitor what my students are doing. I can screenshot if they are off task. #wuedt6020
@Ms_VPalmer Valerie, I completely agree and love that you do lessons on cyber security. Kids do tend to share too much information sometimes, and they don't understand that now it is permanent.
@MadiPSteele Madison, I completely agree. My school uses Go Guardian, which is similar to Securly. I had the same concerns in the beginning. Unfortunately, my middle school students have shown that they know how to get around the security measures to get on sites they shouldn't. #wuedt6020
@B_Farrell9@KFranklin923 My school also uses social media to help communicate with parents. I have actually had parents say that we don't use social media enough at school. #wuedt6020
@ldlred4 @KFranklin923 That is a really interesting idea which I have never thought of. Some classes in my school do holidays around the world and this might be a really interesting addition. #wuedt6020
@KFranklin923 Social media can be a very beneficial resource. Personally, I have used social media to communicate questions and ideas with those who are not near me. This gives us the opportunity to reach out to those that may not be in our physical community. #wuedt6020
@McaseyTR6@KFranklin923 Back in COVID I remember doing virtual field trips and my students loved it. That is definitely something that I might go back too. Personally I also use Quizizz to implement tests and quizizz. It is definitely helpful because it can be read to students that need it. ##wuedt6020
@KinderJM24@KFranklin923 Jessica, I have never heard of this resource before and will definitely look in on it. I work with many middle school students who struggle with social skills and I have been looking for a resource to help support them. ##wuedt6020
@KFranklin923 One emerging trend that I plan on using in my classroom is Gamification. Through research, I am really intrigued with the resource titled Kahoot. While I have used it in the past, I could definitely use more of a deep dive to be able to implement it in my classroom. #wuedt6020
