PETER DOOCY: “There are now 10 American scientists who have either gone missing or died since mid 2024. They all reportedly had access to classified nuclear or aerospace material. Is anybody investigating this to see if these things are connected?”
KAROLINE LEAVITT: “I’ve seen the report, Peter. I haven't spoken to our relevant agencies about it. I will certainly do that, and we'll get you an answer. If true, of course, that's definitely something I think this government administration would deem work worth looking into. So let me do that for you.”
@pdoocy
@NickTimiraos In other words, Warsh has a free pass on cutting or not when he gets in. It was always going to be true. Balance sheet is the bigger issue, Bowman and Miran have stepped back on that too. Big banks like holding cash and earning interest on it! Me too but banks pay 0 on deposits
"As the population is aging, defined contribution pensions are increasing net sellers of equities as net purchases of financial assets slow ... the baby-boomer generation is at the cusp of swapping equities for debt (bills and notes, mostly)."
@sblitz1@TS_Lombard
@Claudia_Sahm No such thing as a jobless boom. Business is geared for increased unit sales. Not happening when job totals are flat to falling. Costs would need to be reset. No one wants to speak the truth — the tariff shock stopped hiring. In fact payrolls declined. They have been improving.
Will the American people have faith any longer that any investigation can be independent and free of partisanship?
Todd Blanche is obliterating his reputation and the reputation of the DOJ.
