Hurrah! From MLaw Review's 1st woman editor (67): I was told I couldn’t do corp. work b/c no corp. exec would take advice from a girl, couldn’t do litigation b/c I’d have to travel ... & partners’ wives would be offended by my traveling w/ their husbands. https://t.co/gor9nmjiED
@PalaceLaw@WAStateBar@ABAPresident@natealder@DBRodriguez5 100% agree mandatory bars that don't act in the public interest have no justification for their unique existence. Quibble only abt "self-regulation" because unlike Canadian law societies all regulatory decisionmaking of U.S. mandatory bars is subordinate to court or legislature.
The crowd for our presentation in Detroit on the new discovery rules grew to 250 today! 😳 Thank you to Judge Fresard and the Detroit Bar Association for organizing and hosting this valuable educational event!
