Day 97: Highland Park,IL to Hobart,IN - 73 miles. Today was rain pretty much all day (except last 8 miles), but that didn’t keep from enjoying biking thru Chicago and some cool bike paths in Indiana. Ended the day at a cool bike shop in Hobart: Trailblazers

Day 96: Milwaukee,WI to Highland Park,IL - 70 miles. Spent most of the day on bike trails today. Got my first views of Lake Michigan fro the trails. Moved on from Wisconsin to Illinois! Good weather, cool and overcast all day.

Day 94: Wisconsin Dells,WI to Madison,WI - 53 miles. Short ride today as I dropped off one of the bikes for service in Milwaukee. Avoided the rain today while riding, but later it poured. Mostly flat, but very humid. Rain helped knock that down. Good day.

Day 93: Black River Falls,WI to Wisconsin Dells,WI - 81 miles. Today was hot hot hot (90s) but an early start and some cloudy conditions in the early afternoon helped 😊. Pretty flat today with some rolling hills. Saw a lot of flags today and hope everyone had a great 4th!

Day 92: Menomonie,WI to Black River Falls,WI - 85 miles. Hot day out there today (high 80s). Rolling hills and biked thru Amish country and saw some folks in carriages and shared a wave. Good day to get out early and avoid the afternoon heat. Cool bike path with dinosaurs.

Day 88: Barnesville,MN to Alexandria,MN - 82 miles. Great day today. Spent more than half the day on the Central Lakes Bike Trail (45+ miles). Purple Heart Chapel on the bike trail as a tribute to two family members lost in WWII, free chilled water for bikers very cool.

Day 87: Marion,ND to Barnesville,MN - 92 miles. See ya. North Dakota, hello Minnesota! Mostly flat today, overcast and sprinkles (70s). Still in farm country with a sprinkle of small towns.

Day 86: Hazelton,ND to Marion,ND - 102 miles. Another mild day (overcast and low 70s) and mostly flat. Not a lot of towns along the route, mostly farm country. Great day to make up some mileage 😊

Day 85: Hebron,ND to Hazelton,ND - 106 miles. Long day but no wind and relatively flat. In the small town area of North Dakota (except Bismarck) and spent most of the day on I94 (legal in ND) as original route was dirt roads (no can do). Cow statue in the hills 👀

Day 82: Dickinson,ND to Hebron,ND - 43 miles. Short day today, rain, headwinds, 1 hr loss (time change MDT to CST) road construction, driver swap out (3+ hour drive) threw a few monkey wrenches into today. Only pix today is of our family dog Copper who we lost today at age 17.

Day 81: Watford City,ND to Dickinson,ND - 86 miles. Rolling hills and a peek at Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Rain held off again, good day of riding

Day 80: Richey, MT to Watford City,ND - 97 miles. Cool weather all day as I crossed from Montana into North Dakota. (Low 60s) Rerouting a more southerly direction thru North Dakota. Rolling hills most of the day, but seeing some buttes as I crossed into North Dakota.

Day 79: Jordan,MT to Richey,MT - 63 miles. Started the day east of the construction zone near Jordan. 10 miles of muddy gravel road (did these miles yesterday). SUV got pretty muddy (see pic). Rolling hills and a threat of rain that didn’t show up (sprinkles only). Good day!

Day 78: Mosby,MT to Jordan,MT - 86 miles. Good day, weather stayed cool but at the end of the day ran into road construction 17 miles east of Jordan. 10 miles of gravel road. Plan B: Ride back to our rest stop (17 miles) and count that as I bypass construction. Solved 👍
