@JBPritzker I appreciate you being out in communities, but I’d appreciate it more if you joined @RepKamBuckner, @RepTarver, and @LamontJRobinson in demanding special session to address oppression and systemic racism in our state policing & criminal justice systems. It cannot wait
@chicagosmayor glad to see y’all came to your senses and opened the high ways back up. Trapping black people on the south side which has become a food and resource desert was not a great way to show that you feel that #BlackLivesMattter

I genuinely feel for Elizabeth Warren’s supporters. She has had one of the most competent and well put together campaigns that’s been balanced by passion and plans but, and I hate to say it, if she were a man she’d be in the top three in a walk.
If I sound cynical, it’s because we are all so happy about just getting to a stable, equitable school funding plan. There’s plenty of residual inequity left to go around. Target date for achieving equity is the year 2027.
& lastly that even though chattel slavery is over, mass incarceration still hangs over our heads. Fight for freedom, fight for equity, fight for justice.
@chicagosmayor I just really love having an LGBTQ mayor. It is amazing to know that when your mayor talks out against what Trump is doing, they aren’t doing it because it’s politically a smart move, but because they too have lived it. This is what #pride feels like.
We are overwhelmed by the power of Chicago today.

Then, our crew packed the courtroom where badass lawyers from @ChicagoLAF and @ChgoCivilRights made a sharp case explaining why the closure of NTA is illegal.
"This case isn’t just about saving NTA. It’s about changing the system so that something like this can never happen to any school in the future." -EG
