@Colorado_N8tive@SenBillCassidy The system would have already been bankrupt if $600 billion dollars that was stolen from people who paid into and met all requirements to participate in social security.
@JerryLe00723434@SpanbergerForVA@POTUS The select group has paid in to SS and met all requirements of SS. Over $600 billion dollars was kept from eligible retirees over the last 40 years.
@ThomasRGold@SpanbergerForVA@POTUS Lazy? I taught for 28 years and now I’m in year 12 working in the private sector. I also worked in the private sector before I became a teacher. Yes, I have been working for over 40 years.
@TheStoicSkiBum@ShellyinIL@POTUS@RepealWEP_GPO The individuals you are referring to DID pay into social security and met all the requirements to collect SS. They paid when they were working 2nd jobs before, during and/or after their public service jobs. I worked several yrs before and 11 yrs since retiring from teaching.
@neverwaved@Swan_Creek1@RandPaul Many employees did not know. SS did not require employers to tell their employees until 2004. Those of us who started before 2004, were not informed.
@SantaHombre @Swan_Creek1@RandPaul Do you understand what the WEP and the GPO are? The WEP affects people who have paid and the met the requirements for SS.
@SenTedCruz
Your amendment to HB 82 will continue to hurt seniors who have contributed to social security but have been denied benfits for 40 years. Your amendment indicates that you do not care about this group of seniors.
@conorelevated@krassenstein This is only 1 side of the interview. Should hsve watched the entire interview. Love how people post things to suit their narrative!
