Excellent day yesterday spent as a role player for new officers on their final weekend of training.

@SC_Officer Unfortunately not, they have one more session in weeks time and pass out a week later. I’m sure things will improve.

Had a busy day acting as a drug dealer for the trainee officers. Some of their searching needs to be improved. Nothing worse than presenting to a custody Sgt when you find items you missed during the first search!

Another Saturday spent on an interview panel for prospective Special Constables. We had 3 no shows on our list which was disappointing. Luckily the remainder made the grade.

Good to be involved today in interview panels for prospective Special Constables. A couple of late cancellations but some good candidates made the grade.

So 26 years ago today I stood alone in the box at the magistrates court and took an oath. Where has the time gone!

So a nice sunny day here for being outside doing scenarios, made sure to put some sunscreen on only to spend most of the day inside!

Spent some quality time over lunch with Mrs SC Ch Insp today. Couple of beers to help recover from the excessive heat of the past few days!

So spent two days in the sunshine this week playing a baddie for the new regular recruits.I feel some of them will not make the grade even with the help of our excellent PDU officers when they get allocated to their stations.!

Two days of acting the villain in the community already completed this week, another day at HQ tomorrow, having handcuffs slapped on time after time does leave a few bruises!

It’s amazing how time flies when you booked tickets to see Gary Barlow as as last years Xmas present to the other half and now find yourself having to go to the concert tonight!

So I have got myself all prepped and ready to be part of an interview board over Teams tomorrow for prospective Special Constables, sincerely hope the applicants have done the same!

Just enjoyed being a part of the Special Constables' National Gathering 2021. Many important topics were covered including an insight by author John Sutherland in to his illness, and the possible reasons behind it, while being a serving police officer.#SCGathering21 # Blue

Another good day out in the local community yesterday with the latest batch of new regulars doing scenario training.

Out doing some scenario training for new regulars who pass out next week. So far only one officer has let the suspect wander off without noticing.

A few busy days coming up with 2 days of interviewing potential new Special Constables over Microsoft Teams followed by interviews for Special Sergeants later in the week.

So seemingly my Christmas present to myself is buying tickets to see Gary Barlow on his new tour next December with Mrs SC Ch Insp.

We had appx 60% pass rate for those taking their interviews to become Special Constables over the weekend.
We were hoping for a higher rate of passes due to the amount of online assessments they do prior to the interview.
